The Chinese Association of Science, Education and Culture of South Florida (CASEC), registered in the state of Florida as a non-profit organization, was established in 1994 by local Chinese American professionals. Today CASEC has grown and become the largest Chinese American organization in South Florida with its membership of 1200 from Jupiter to Homestead. CASEC members are from many fields and of a variety of backgrounds, from professionals in academic teaching and research, industrial R&D and management, finance, law practice, to successful business entrepreneur. Members also include Chinese students and local Americans in the greater South Florida area. All members (including e-members) should abide by CASEC by-laws. In 1995, CASEC established a weekend Contemporary Chinese School of South Florida (CCSSF) that currently has three campuses at Boynton Beach, Plantation, and Miami with more than 600 enrolled students. Since 2001, various clubs have been also established to enrich members’ daily life.
